Ιn Paliouri village (Kassandra area), an oil painter, transformed the whole environment of his birth place by decorating flower pots and putting them in miscellaneous parts of the village! He initially started his project by gathering wasted tins and cans. During last winter, he managed to collect about 100 useless tins and cans. He cleaned them and bought the painting colors at his own expense. Then he assigned to the children of the village, by his guidance, to paint the cans, which looked like small dolls with so pretty vivid colors! Ιnside the cans the children planted flowers of different species and colors! And the outcome of their efforts is presented in the following pictures! So if your journey leads you to Halkidiki, this summer, make a stop to Paliouri to admire this charming village!
